2. WANDFESTIVAL

Formerly known as the Street Art Festival, the newly rebranded Wandfestival completely transforms Chur into a vibrant, living canvas. Founded by local mural artist and entrepreneur Fabian "Bane" Florin, this incredible event brings international urban art giants and Swiss legends straight to our streets. Over three days, you can watch artists paint massive house facades and mobile concrete walls in real time. The whole festival is accompanied by independent music jams, workshops, battles, and plenty of street food. It is a brilliant celebration of independent local culture that turns the city into a permanent open air gallery.

3. JAZZ CHUR FESTIVAL

Imagine a warm September evening, surrounded by historic buildings on the most beautiful square in Chur, with incredible live music bouncing off the old walls. That is Arcas Rock. This boutique open air festival is loved for its top quality line up and friendly atmosphere. This year, you can look forward to the energetic brass pop rap of Troubas Kater, the witty indie pop of local hero Anna Erhard, the raw garage rock of Bikini Beach, and the cinematic sounds of local newcomer Fiona Fiasco. 5. SCHLAGERPARADE CHUR

• The Vibe: Retro 60s, 70s, and 80s madness, colorful costumes, and ultimate fun

Ready to travel back in time? The Schlagerparade is one of the most legendary, colorful events in Graubünden. It is a massive celebration of retro pop music, where everyone dresses up in wild vintage outfits, platform shoes, and colorful wigs. The absolute highlight is the "Hossamobil" parade on Saturday, where decorated retro vehicles drive through the city streets while everyone sings along. The party then continues late into the night at the Stadthalle. It is impossible not to smile and dance here!
